Luminary Care Services is committed to providing the highest levels of practice and support with the young people entrusted in our facility.
When the young people are placed in our support facility, we discuss the terms of residency and the Safer Care Policy with them. This enables us to promote trust and comfort in the young people, along with encouraging effective safeguarding strategies to help keep both staff and young people safe in our premises.
We have 3 core therapeutic objectives which are inspired by the social pedagogy approach. These 3 objectives are essential in providing an outstanding service that will enable LCS to improve and sustain the young adult’s overall quality of life and promote and enrich their pathway towards independence.
The objectives are wellbeing, learning and growth.
Offer psychological intervention to help promote a better understanding of themselves and their journey so far. Offering them with tools on developing successful strategies on how they can manage their coping mechanisms and replacing them with positive methods.
To enable young adults to develop new skills and interests so they can successfully integrate and contribute to the society in a positive manner.
By offering the young adult with the opportunity to restore, repair or improve their relationships with their family members and key workers in their lives it will promote and maintain relationships which will aid the young adult in building their identity and self-respect.

Luminary Care Services focuses on the wellbeing, learning and growth of the young adults regardless of their backgrounds. Our ethos underpins the idea that each person has an inherited potential, is valuable, resourceful and can make a meaningful contribution to their community given the appropriate assistance and support.
The support packages we offer assist care providers. Whatever the urgency of their needs, Luminary Care Services management and staff have significant experience in this area and we are mindful of the impact that a placement have on the young person.
Luminary Children Services was set up to make a difference to the life of young adults and give them the opportunity to thrive and excel whilst in our support. The focus to set up this facility began after completing my Psychology degree. My educational background aided me into building a unique support system which focuses on understanding the complex needs of the young adults as well as using integrated therapeutic approaches to understand the impact that developmental trauma can have on their lives. We are focused on providing therapeutic support which will put relationships between young people and staff at the centre, in line with our social pedagogic commitment.
